Woodsy Homelife celebrates 1 year o ering home goods, candles Irene Bisson said she started Woodsy Home- life as a hobby that has grown into a storefront celebrating its rst anniversary in Tomball. The setup Bisson said Woodsy Homelife began in the kitchen of her Toronto home in 2019 when her family was struggling nancially. Rather than buy- ing Christmas presents for her family that year, she said she decided to make wooden wick candles. “I love people, and I really believe that we’ve all been named with purpose and there’s plans for our lives,” she said. This is where her candle’s message stems from: A “You were made to shine” decal is placed on the back of each candle along with a biblical reference to Matthew 5:16. Bisson said she and her husband, Brad, followed a strong calling to move to Tomball. “We feel like we’re where God wants us. We don’t totally understand why, but we feel at peace with it,” Bisson said. The details Bisson said as a mother who spends a lot of time at home, her business centers around creating a pleasant home life. Woodsy Homelife o ers wooden wick and brass bowl candles, perfume, home goods and jewelry as well as workshops and private classes. She said her popular candles are poured by hand with 100% sustainable American soy wax and a signature fragrance that is phthalate, vegan and cruelty free.
