BY CLAIRE SHOOP

Red Poppy Festival Georgetown residents and visitors convened on the Square April 26-28 for the 25th iteration of the annual event, which celebrates the blooming of the city’s century-old red poppy flowers. 1 Attendees set up lawn chairs on West Seventh Street to hear artists performing on the main stage. Easton Corbin was this year’s headliner. 2 Vendors selling kettle corn, funnel cakes and fried Oreos joined local food trucks in the food court area. 3 More than 120 artisans set up booths in the streets of downtown, selling artwork, jewelry, tasty treats, woodworking and more. 4 Other activities throughout the weekend included a car show, a pet parade and a kids zone.
