362-acre mixed-use development proposed A 362-acre development featuring various hous- ing types and commercial uses may be built on land in Georgetown’s extraterritorial jurisdiction. Georgetown City Council approved amending a future land use designation under its 2030 Compre- hensive Plan from neighborhood to mixed-density neighborhood and regional center to accommodate the proposed development at an April 9 meeting. Two-minute impact The new designation could make way for Heirloom—a development featuring 255 acres of mixed residential uses, 35 acres of multifamily housing, 15 acres of commercial developments, and 60 acres of parks and open space, according to city documents. Nolina community hosts grand opening Nolina, a master-planned community underway in Georgetown, hosted a grand opening May 18 for its seven new model homes and 7-acre amenity center. Located 8 miles north of the Hwy. 29 and Ronald Reagan Boulevard intersec- tion, Nolina is a 524-acre neighborhood expected to have 1,341 homes once fully built out, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

The Preserve retail, office development coming to west Georgetown in 2025 A new mixed-use commercial development totaling over 200,000 square feet is slated to open in west Georgetown over the next few years, according to the development’s website.
