Community Camp Guide

BY ANNA MANESS & CLAIRE SHOOP

2025

Almost two dozen Georgetown summer camps offer unique opportunities for children. With summertime just around the corner, we know parents are already planning activities for their kids to keep them active and engaged with others. It’s also a great time to explore new interests like a new sport, trying their hand at art and so much more. Summer camps provide opportunities that encourage kids to step out of their comfort zones, gain independence and discover new passions. We hope you will find our local summer camp guide helpful as you plan ahead. Please also notice our advertisers, who support the work we do and the delivery of news to your mailbox and inbox.

A world of possibilities exists in Georgetown summer camps. Growing up, my summer camps were swimming at my neighborhood pool and checking out copious amounts of library books—pretty much the same things I plan to do with my summer evenings now. However, looking at this list of opportunities for families makes me wish they were open to adults. Think my bosses would mind? In all seriousness, I hope you and your family have a wonderful summer.
