Benold Middle School opening Funded by the 2021 bond, the new campus was built to accommodate growth in the district’s northwest quadrant. The old Benold campus will be renovated into Frost Elementary School’s new campus. 1 Benold Middle School Principal Brandon Jayroe and former Trustee Dr. Stephen Benold, whose father is the namesake of the middle school, share in the act of cutting the ribbon. 2 GISD Superintendent Devin Padavil spoke to the crowd at the opening. 3 Families head to the school for a combined opening and meet-the-teacher event. 4 Seating in the gym lled quickly ahead of the ceremony.
