These include a sauna, a cold plunge, a red light therapy and more. “Central Athlete is focused on the whole human being,” Rubin said. “You can’t live your healthiest, most fullling, best life if you just work out hard; you must have a lifestyle that supports the hard work.”

Locally-owned gym Central Athlete, and the recovery and wellness lounge Central Health have served Austin since 2015. Husband-and-wife duo Jesse and Amanda O’Brien founded the studio to oer a personalized tness model—supporting clients through tness, nutrition, and behaviors— rather than personal training or group classes. “We empower individuals with personalized tness and nutrition strategies that drive real, sustainable results,” Jesse O’Brien said.
