Southlake OKs new plans for mixed-use development The development plan that includes Dakota’s Steakhouse was amended at the June 3 Southlake City Council meeting. Grapevine approves plans for new Marriott hotel In a joint meeting June 17, Grapevine City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission approved construction plans for the AC Hotel by Marriott at Silverlake, which will be developed by Newcrest Image. Diving in deeper Council approved the application 6-0 with Mayor William D. Tate recusing himself. Newcrest Image managing partner Mehul “Mike” Patel said the plan is for the ve-story, 200-room hotel to open in 2029. It will be located near Grapevine Mills o SH 26.
