Plano road set for $8.8 million of work Road projects to make sidewalk and pavement repairs on two different sections of Independence Parkway in Plano are currently underway, Plano Public Works Superintendent Chris Best said in an email. The details The stretches of Independence Parkway from Spring Creek Parkway to Hedgcoxe Road and Hedgcoxe Road to SH 121 in both directions both started work in August and are expected to finish in July 2025 and December 2024, respectively. Combined, the work will cost the city $8.8 million. For the duration of the projects, one lane in both directions will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Projects planned along Plano Parkway As a pavement repair project continues along a segment of Plano Parkway, city staff are planning for further projects set to begin in spring. City projects costing over $13 million are planned along Plano Parkway between the city’s eastern boundary and Independence Parkway to the west, according to the project website.
What you need to know The pavement repair, which began in July 2022, is a nearly $6.8 million project along Plano Park- way, Lead Marketing Specialist Wendy Jorgensen said. This portion of the project is taking place between the eastern city limits and US 75, per the project website, and is expected to be complete in February. Asphalt overlays are planned along several thor- oughfares in east Plano, including Plano Parkway, Parker Road and Los Rios Boulevard, with a total project cost of about $3.3 million.
