“You’re taking a backyard that doesn’t have much except for grass in it and turning it into a miniresort,” he said. “Then add to that the happiness they all have because it’s their little oasis.” The company, which has been headquartered in Round Rock since 2022, has built more than 30,000 pools since it was established in 1994. Husband and wife Mike and Kelly Church pur- chased the Central Texas pool-building company in 2003 and expanded the service area to Southwest Texas as well as parts of Florida and Arizona. Throughout the company’s more than 28 years, Cody Pools has grown substantially. Because of that growth, the company can oer competitive pricing on materials, such as stone and tile, and features, such as grottos, slides and hot tubs, Mike said.

“We started the pool park with the beginning of the [COVID-19] pandemic,” Johnson said. “We’re like, ‘Well, we’re gonna be dead. I might as well build a pool park.’ But it turns out we were extremely busy then.” To help customers gain a sense of what kinds of materials they might like, the company expanded its design center at the Georgetown location to include ¡ve sample pool con¡gurations, Mike said. Just two years after the renovation of the design center was completed in 2020, the com- pany moved its corporate operations to Round Rock, Mike said. “We had a tremendous amount of growth in the last 10 years,” he said.
