said. “They’re all extremely knowledgeable, hard working and a lot of fun. It’s a nice community of musicians.” Music experiences can begin for children as young at 3 years old at Texas Amps & Axes. Group and individual lessons for beginner to advanced students are available. What else? Inventory in the store includes acoustic and electric guitars, digital pianos, drums, amps, instrument accessories and more. “We really want to be the place where people go to get their rst instrument,” Iris Meneley said. “We love to tailor the experience and really help them try on the t of the instrument.”
When Celina residents Jon and Iris Meneley opened Texas Amps & Axes in downtown Prosper in 2015, the business consisted of a music store downstairs and ve teaching rooms upstairs. Over the ensuing 10 years the business has expanded to take over a second wing of the build- ing and now boasts 20 teaching rooms. The couple opened a second Texas Amps & Axes in Celina in 2024. Meet the team Texas Amps & Axes employs 37 teachers, many are current performers. Most hold music degrees with several holding masters degrees. “I love not only working with my wife, but also our employees we’ve picked,” Jon Meneley
