Celina ISD adjusts GPA calculation system Celina ISD o cials have revised the grade point average system to account for all courses students take. The current GPA system accounts for some but not all classes taken by students. This includes core courses—English, social studies, math and science. The new system is better aligned with other school district’s GPA policies, o cials said April 28. The revised GPA system will begin with the graduating class of 2029. The details The GPA policy will remain the same for the graduating classes of 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028. For incoming freshman, a student’s GPA will re ect all classes taken in high school, including core courses and electives.

Along with the administration building and community center, the site plans include space for a future natatorium and another future project. That project has not yet been determined but initial conversations said it could be a performing arts center, Shirley said.
