gomery Girls Softball Association past board; softball, FFA booster clubs president; MISD bond task force 713-492-1980 After serving on the Bond Task Force and [Career and Technical Education]/AG Barn Advisory Committee, it became more appar- ent that I wanted to serve the community and this school district. Not that I feel the current board has done anything wrong; I simply feel like I have something to oer the district and our community. Why are you running for election?

The city has a longstanding reputation for being behind the trends for growth and development despite the areas right around the city experiencing record-breaking growth. I am running to help ensure that our community is awake and paying attention to the needs of all citizens and visitors alike. I believe that what we need is to invest in infrastructure. Why are you running for election?

To utilize my business and professional experience to help this historic city meet the demands of a growing city. We must be pro- active in preparing to meet those demands in order to keep taxes low yet have the ability to upgrade the infrastructure needs. We must encourage businesses to our city and provide the support that they and our existing businesses need to be successful. Why are you running for election?

After [my second] term as mayor, I have continued to pay attention to city business, stayed connected with city residents and businesses as well as keep an eye on infrastructure and transportation issues. A number of residents are not happy, and a group of concerned citizens approached me asking for help. I am thrilled to run for Place 3.

To collaborate with existing council members and city sta on the importance of having a safe place for our children, citizens, businesses and visitors to enjoy. To maintain essential city services for a healthy living environment and to maintain the beauty of our parks and recreational facilities.

I have spent my entire life serving my community and country in one way or another. I have a passion to serve and to serve where I believe I can do the most good for our community, kids and teachers. I was elected nearly three years ago along with several others on the board to change the way our district is run. I believe we need to continue the successes we have already achieved and that we have so much more to continue to build upon.

Only candidates in contested elections are included. Go to county election websites for information on uncontested races. For more election coverage, go to www.communityimpact.com/voter-guide.
