8 Locally owned vegan ice cream shop Sweet Ritual , located in the North Loop area, closed Jan. 31 for a hiatus. Its own- ers said they needed to take a break from the location, 4631 Airport Blvd., Ste. 125, Austin, due to the pandemic, 2021 winter storm and other issues that strained the business in recent years. They will still sell ice cream at Yummi Joy, 409 W. Second St., Austin.
