Leander City Council approved an item Feb. 6 decreasing the speed limit on North Lakeline Boulevard from Crystal Falls Parkway to Stinnett Drive, from 45 mph to 40 mph. Truman said intersections at Plano Lane and Sonny Drive, where there are crosswalks but no signalization, were of particular concern. The new developments added components to North Lakeline Boulevard and made a 45 mph speed limit unsafe, according to the documents. It will cost around $200 to install new speed signs, according to the city.
