Life’s next journey awaits, and it starts here in Grange.

Master-planned community Cross Creek Ranch is nearly full, with fewer than 100 of its 6,100 homes left unclaimed inside the Fulshear-area development, accord- ing to a March 31 news release. As Cross Creek Ranch nears closeout, developer Johnson Development will continue to build out other Fulshear-area projects, including Cross Creek West and Jordan Ranch, while constructing more amenities for residents, representatives said. Looking back Development began in 2006 on the 3,200 acres for Cross Creek Ranch, per the release. Stephen Brovarone, general manager for Cross Creek Ranch and Cross Creek West, said in a statement the development has been a catalyst for the area’s con- tinued population and commer- cial growth. About 20,000 people have made their home there, per the release. “Cross Creek Ranch has been a fixture in the Fulshear area for so long, accounting for much of the region’s growth over the past decade,” Brovarone said in the

release. “It’s almost unbelievable to see this coming to a close.” Zooming out Meanwhile, builders for Jordan Ranch will begin work on the final 459 lots by mid-2025, Jerry Ulke, vice president and general man- ager of the community, said in an email. He said he expects Jordan Ranch’s about 3,000 homes to be sold by the end of 2026. Cross Creek West will add 337 more lots this year, Brovarone said in an email. By close-out in the early 2030s, it’ll have about 3,000 total homes. What’s next? Jordan Ranch officials are currently building Star Field Park, with tennis and pickleball courts, a playground and a patio, according to information from Johnson Development. Brovarone said he expects Cross Creek West to hit various mile- stones this year, including open- ing Haygood Elementary School in August and breaking ground on a daycare across the road.
