Barnes & Noble is closing after 28 years in Braeswood Place.

FEATURED IMPACT CLOSING The Barnes & Noble located within Vanderbilt Square—at 3003 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, near the Bu alo Speedway intersection—will close June 19. The closure resulted from a decision by the site’s landlord to not renew the store’s lease, according to Barnes & Noble store o cials. “We did not want to close the store,” said Janine Flannigan, Barnes & Noble director of store planning. “We had just been asked to leave.” The store is having a closing sale during which items are being sold for a 25% discount. Other Houston-area locations
