Council approved four requests—one for rezoning, one for a thoroughfare master plan amendment, one for a land dedication for a park and park dedication fees, and one for removing several trees—during the Nov. 3 meeting. Argyle ISD OKs $2.55M for 16 buses Due to projected district growth, the Argyle ISD board of trustees approved the purchase of 16 additional buses for the 2026-27 school year at a Nov. 17 meeting. Zoom in The buses will cost nearly $2.55 million, and funding will come from the 2022 bond, per district documents. District officials estimate the buses will arrive in spring 2026. “We went through our numbers, went through our enrollment, went through our routing and determined that we need 16 new buses,” Executive Director of District Operations Thomas Ledford said.

The plan states nonbilingual students will be reassigned to the STEM Academy at Valley Ridge Elementary School. “This is about setting kids up for success for the long term. This will not be a quick turnaround program,” board President Jenny Proznik said.
