Gothic cafe o ers safe space for all in San Marcos Despite its dark appearance and spooky atmo- sphere, Triple Six Social, San Marcos’ gothic cafe and boutique, is anything but dreary. Owner Andrea Hernandez wants the business to be a cozy and welcoming place for all ages and backgrounds. The retail area includes art, incense and candles, tarot cards, jewelry, herbs, books cafe merch and more are for sale.

The building’s other spaces include a tarot reading room and the ParaPeculiar Museum, a museum of items with a history of paranormal activity owned by Hernandez’s friends and para- normal investigators Damian Schillaci and Nicole Riccardo. “The museum is actually in the old vault which is, I think, perfect,” Hernandez said. “You can lock up the ghosts in the vault.”
