Proposition E: The issuance of $380 million bonds for designing, developing, constructing, renovating, improving, extending, expanding, and maintaining roads and bridges within the county. Prosper ISD Proposition A: The issuance of $2.44 billion bonds for school facilities, the purchase of the necessary sites for school facilities and the purchase of new school buses. Proposition B: The issuance of $140 million of bonds for school technology improvements. Proposition C: The issuance of $102.43 million for school stadium facilities and the purchase of necessary sites for school stadium facilities. Proposition D: The issuance of $125 million of bonds for a performing arts center. There are 14 statewide constitutional amendments on the ballot as well. Take a look at two of Prosper’s road improve- ment projects slated to finish in 2024. 1 One project is construction on First Street between Coit Road and Custer Road. As one of three projects currently addressing First Street, this project focuses on the stretch between Coit Road and Custer Road. Improvements will focus on constructing four lanes of concrete pavement, according to the town’s capital improvement projects dashboard. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2024 and will cost $27.26 million funded by the town. 2 The second project is designated left-turn lanes being added to Prosper Trail. This project will add a left-turn lane for the

Collin County Voters in Collin County will choose “For” or “Against” on the propositions. Proposition A: The issuance of $251.86 million for designing, developing, constructing, renovating, improving, expanding, and equipping court facilities and juvenile and adult detention facilities. Proposition B: The issuance of $5.7 million bonds for designing, developing, constructing, renovating, improving, expanding, and equipping the existing Collin County animal shelter. Proposition C: The issuance of $13.36 million bonds for designing, developing, constructing, renovating, improving, expanding, and equipping Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office facilities. Proposition D: The issuance of $22.45 million bonds for acquiring, developing, constructing, renovating, improving, and equipping land for park and open space purposes, including participation in joint county-city projects.

Celina downtown sees road construction Downtown Inner Loop improvements are underway in Celina. This first phase of construction in the Downtown Inner Loop will address roadway, drainage, water and sewer improvements on Colorado Drive, Beech Street, Ohio Drive and Pecan Street. The project construction started in spring 2022 and will be finished in summer 2024. The project will cost $7.5 million.

eastbound and westbound sides of Prosper Trail at its intersection with Preston Road. Con- struction work will include pavement, grading, modifying existing traffic signals, striping, signage and more, according to the town’s CIP dashboard. The project construction will begin spring 2024 and finish in summer later that year. It will cost $900,000, which is funded by the city.

Where to vote

Residents can vote at any polling location during early voting. Denton County residents must vote at their designated polling location on Election Day.
