Wilson Creek Park, a nearly 100- acre park, will feature a disc golf course, several pickleball courts, walking trails and more. Celina City Council members approved a $2.53 million contract with engineering company Dun- away Associates for the rst phase of designs for the park during their Aug. 21 meeting.
The details Plans for Wilson Creek Park, located at the northwest inter- section of Sunset Boulevard and Roseland Parkway, have been discussed since 2022, according to meeting documents. Construction will start in 2025. The cost for Phase 1 of the park is expected to be $30 million.
Prosper council approves new mixed-use development Pradera

Prosper Town Council members approved rezoning for a new mixed-use development during their Aug. 22 meeting. The development, named Pradera, will be spread out on 34.7 acres along Dallas Park- way, according to a meeting presentation. Plans for Pradera include 730 multifamily units, which will bring the area to the maximum number of units allowed in Pros- per’s comprehensive plan, Mayor David Bristol said. Other features of the develop- ment include o ce space, retail space and a hotel, according to meeting documents.
