CFISD board approves next steps for Bridgeland High School renovation The Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees on Oct. 6 approved the construction proposal for a $6.1 mil- lion renovation project at Bridgeland High School, which will be funded by a 2019 bond, oŠcials said. Lone Star College System board lowers property tax rate Lone Star College System board members voted to lower the college system’s property tax rate for scal year 2025-56 during the board’s Oct. 2 meeting. The action taken The board unanimously approved a FY 2025-26 tax rate of $0.1060 per $100 val- uation, down from last year’s rate of $0.1076 per $100 valuation of a home. Despite the decrease, the district’s maintenance and operation tax rate did increase.

oversee the project, documents show. The rm has completed projects for several school districts in the Greater Houston area, per its website. All CFISD campuses were impacted by the $1.7 billion bond approved in 2019, CFISD Chief Operating OŠcer Matt Morgan told Community Impact on Oct. 16. Many of them received similar security enhancements, ne arts additions and improvements to athletic facilities, he said. The Bridgeland High School renovation will begin this fall and is set to nish by August 2026, Morgan said.
