Houston-Galveston Area Council officials gathered community input at an April 23 public meeting on the three proposed routes for a transit system to address congestion along the Hwy. 90A corridor. The study is exploring alternative transporta- tion routes for public transportation systems— such as a light rail or bus rapid system—for the Missouri City, Stafford, Sugar Land, Rosenberg and southwest Houston areas, according to H-GAC’s project website. “There’s a strong desire to increase public transit in the Fort Bend region,” Laura Grams, tran- sit planning lead for engineering consultant HDR, said at the public meeting.
