Soon after, his coworkers invited him to join their quilting group. “There were about six of us that would go and sew; it was a great experience,” Kralicek said. “I still hold on to my very rst quilt; I use it; I wash it; it’s coming apart after 30 years.” Cloth World was eventually bought by JoAnn Fabrics, and Kralicek said he worked for them as a store manager at multiple locations. He also worked for a sewing machine dealer for ve years. “I had customers say, ‘You need to be out on your own; you can do this,’” he said. “It was always a dream of mine to own a fabric store.” In 2012, Kralicek; his wife, Abigail Kralicek; and sister-in-law Cathy Musson opened Suddenly Sewing on Heritage Trace Parkway in Fort Worth.
