BLANTON MUSEUM OF ART Founded in 1963, The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas has the largest comprehensive art collection in Central Texas. Over 21,000 works are part of the Blanton’s permanent collection. The museum grounds are under redesign by Design firm Snøhetta. The redesign will be part of new programming the museum will launch under the new Director of Public Programs Kenyon Adams. Work is expected to be complete in the spring. While under renovations, the museum is still open to the public. 200 E. The Hill Country Galleria consists of retail, dining and entertainment. The Galleria hosts different events throughout the year, including live music and art shows, and it most recently hosted a temporary ice skating rink for the holiday season. New additions to the 75 businesses in 2022 included El Dorado Gallery and luxury boutique The Emporium.
