23 REMEMBER THE PAST The Williamson County Historical Commission will host its third annual “Toast to Our Past: Recognize, Remember and Learn” presentation in recognition of the 30th Texas governor, Daniel Moody, who obtained a conviction against four members of the Ku Klux Klan. A formal ceremony to kick off the celebration will start at 2 p.m. March 10 on the east side of the Williamson County Courthouse. Entertainment and a laser light show will begin at 7:30 p.m., and tours of the courthouse along with birthday cake will be available. The county will also have activities—including a bounce house, train rides and a scavenger hunt—at the March 11 Market Days on the Square in Georgetown from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. 710 S. Light moved to Austin near the Colorado River in 1938 with her parents. Growing up around nature is what nurtured her love for art.
