What are your qualifications for why you’d be a strong candidate in this role? It’s been an honor serving as county commissioner since 2014. Every year, I’ve voted to reduce the county tax rate. I manage county spending carefully, knowing every dollar belongs to taxpayers. With growth coming, we must get development right the first time and protect current constituents’ quality of life.
What should the county’s budgeting priorities be?
Passing a conservative county budget and tax rate remains priority. We will demand smart development and improved infrastructure. County departments will continue to find efficient ways to serve citizens, while ensuring law enforcement remains funded to keep our communities safe and responsive to growth today and in the future.

As a county, we have to prioritize reinvesting in our existing infrastructure. In other words, “we have good bones.” Let’s make sure it stays that way. After that, we need [to] look at our top priorities of public safety, which include drainage, roads, etc.
