AISD, PISD adopt budgets for FY 2024-25 Despite ongoing financial challenges with Texas school districts, Alvin ISD’s fiscal year 2024-25 is expected to break even and Pearland ISD’s could have a surplus after each were approved June 11. Alvin College to offer bachelor’s degrees Business administration and management students at Alvin Community College will be able to work toward attaining bachelor’s degrees this fall, according to a June 19 press release from the college. What’s happening? The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges changed ACC’s accreditation from Level 1 to Level 2, allowing the college’s first bachelor’s degree program to begin this fall. The accreditation change took more than two years and authorized ACC to offer up to five different bachelor’s degree programs, including business administration and management, according to the release. ACC officials are evaluating other pro- grams for bachelor’s degrees.
