Construction has gone vertical at the mixed-use development Firey Park in Frisco near the inter- section of PGA Parkway and Dallas North Tollway. Crews broke ground on The Noc and Aurora— two residential communities within the 217-acre Firey Park development—in September and October, respectively. When the development is completed, it is expected to cost between $2.5 billion and $4 billion. It will have residences, a hotel, retail and dining space, and a 45-acre park featuring lakes, trails, an art walk and playgrounds. Wilks Development, the company behind the project, broke ground in April 2024 and is expected to open Firey Park in 2027. The specics Infrastructure for the project is about 90% com- plete, including seven roads, utilities and a bridge, said Nicole Ellis, Wilks Development director of marketing and communications, in an email. Frisco City Council members approved a new zoning ordinance allowing Firey Park to begin construction in April 2024, roughly seven years after discussions surrounding the property began in 2017. What’s next? and an additional 10 months for tenants to ll the spaces. The retail space could be nished by fall 2027, and Wilks Development may start revealing tenants in November, Ellis said. Crews will begin construction on a hotel and oce, as well as a chapel and event center to be included in the development in February 2026, with an expected completion date in fall 2027. A parking garage for the development could also be completed in May 2027. Construction on the 45-acre park is ongoing and should be completed in early summer 2027, Ellis said.
