The search for a new superintendent began last year after the trustees unanimously accepted the resignation of former superintendent Douglas Killian during a Dec. 14 board meeting. Killian served as superintendent for six years. Former PfISD Assistant Superintendent Steve Flores was then named interim superintendent.
