Outdoor tness court breaks barriers to entry Over the summer of 2025, an outdoor tness court bringing seven movement stations and exercise guidance was installed at Lake Kyle Park. David Lopez, city of Kyle parks and recre- ation director, said Lake Kyle Fitness Court was designed to lower barriers to health and wellness for residents. “We get regular visitation throughout the day,” Lopez said. “Folks who are getting their vitamin D intake, fresh air, and they don’t have to worry about memberships. They can go whenever it’s convenient for them.” Lopez said a demonstrated appetite for tness facilities is being used to plan future park spaces in the city. He also noted that the success of the tness court may lead to the inclusion of similar spaces at these parks as planning continues.
