LET’S PLAY CATCH UP ON ROUTINE VACCINES BEFORE HEADING BACK TO SCHOOL,
Austin Public Health and the CDC encourages schools, parents and caregivers of kids ages 4-17 to catch up on their vaccinations before school starts August 14, including those that are not required for school entry such as flu, COVID-19, and HPV vaccinations. Vaccines help keep kids from getting sick or spreading disease. Even if they’ve missed shots over the past few years, it’s never too late to catch up and protect them now. Serious illnesses can disrupt a child’s education and overall well-being, but with vaccinations, we can help keep our kids safe and, in the classroom, where they belong.
