THE COOPDISTRICT After facing several setbacks, development on the 35-acre mixed-use The Co-Op District is beginning to ramp up. Two new businesses—Top Notch Hamburgers and Cocina Jalisco Sports Bar & Grill— are expected to open this year. Several more buildings are under construction at the The Co-Op, but developers have not yet announced what the businesses will be. 1 PECAN STREET EXTENSION The city plans to extend Pecan Street to connect with Co-Op Boulevard and add wide sidewalks to the street. The extension is intended to promote travel between The Co-Op District and historic downtown. No specic planning or design is underway, but ocials will consider the project once more work is completed on The Co-Op District. 2
