TOMBALL A project is in the works between HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball and NewQuest Properties to redesign the hospital campus to add medical oce, retail and restaurant space. Announced in an April release, NewQuest ocials said the project calls for redevelopment and expan- sion of the -acre hospital campus at Holderrieth Blvd. with tentative plans for a new tness facility, restau- rants and retail. Mixed-use develop- ment—which could include commer- cial and multifamily spaces—is also proposed for the campus, said Ashley Strickland, NewQuest vice president and leader of NewQuest’s newly formed Healthcare and Wellness Real Estate Division. “We’re seeing more of these health systems like HCA and their lead- ers putting a major emphasis on high-quality care but also more specif- ically [on] higher patient satisfaction,” she said. While the project is in its early stages, parts of the redevelopment

project could open as early as , Strickland said. “It’s more about the experiential campus versus just the traditional health care-driven campus,” she said. A TRUE MEDICAL CENTER HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball— renamed from Tomball Regional Med- ical Center in January—was acquired by HCA in July . “We’re proud to work with NewQuest as we continue to add valu- able resources to the HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball campus,” said Eric Evans, the CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, in a statement. In addition to the redevelopment project, the Tomball campus is in pursuit of a Level III trauma center designation—the rst trauma desig- nation for the hospital, Community Impact Newspaper reported. Evans said women’s services are also being expanded. A women’s specialty care pavilion on the Tomball campus as well as a women’s clinic in Magnolia are in the works, Evans said previously. In December, Millennium Physicians-Radiation & Diagnostic Center opened on the campus. NewQuest has a listing and broker- age agreement with HCA, Strickland said, meaning the development com- pany will provide advisory services ranging from master-planning to leasing assistance. The northwest corner of the campus will include acres for a blend of retail, restaurant and medical oce buildings, Strickland said. The Texas Sports Medicine Center in the southwest corner of the campus will be repurposed into a state-
