Strietzel traces his proclivity for culinary arts to his childhood. “My parents will tell you that instead of reading comic books, I was going through cookbooks,” he said. As the general manager of Neighborhood Services, Gary Martin touted versatility as key to their success. “We’re a bunch of dierent things to a bunch of dierent people,” Martin said. “If it’s a special dinner or a turn-and-burn

Gayla Guyse, general manager of Omni Frisco Hotel, said they want guests of Neighborhood Services to feel like they have left the hotel and are dining in a freestanding restaurant. “It’s a departure from the hotel, which is marble, gold and sleek,” Guyse said. “This is a comfortable, traditional American restaurant that provides wonderful food. … We’re approachable luxury.”
