Cy-Hope, a Cypress-based nonprot beneting underserved children, teachers and school districts, is hosting a Katy Block Party at the Katy location of its resale clothing store. Special guests include Alchemy Bake Lab, Scholars and Scoundrels, Brookshire Brothers, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Barkley Books, the Cy-Hope STEM bus, and Crew Lemonade Stand. Cool Cat Cycles is hosting a gravel bike ride for anyone who is new to the area, just got a gravel bike or wants to learn to ride gravel. Seasoned riders who are looking for more recreational or endurance miles can also attend. The bike ride is 20 miles at a speed of 12-14 mph. The Yoga on the Green event inspires locals to get active. FEATURED EVENT STRETCH IN THE SUN Registered yoga instructor Samantha Walker will lead a yoga class at Central Green Park. With experience rooted in ashtanga vinyasa yoga, Walker aims to guide students inward and encourage them to listen to their bodies. Attendees must bring a mat, a towel and a bottle of water, and are encouraged to check with a doctor before participating in this exercise class.
