NISD school hits completion milestone A Northwest ISD elementary school scheduled to open in 2026 has reached 30% completion in construction. NISD board trustees approved an encroachment agreement with the city of Fort Worth at a Nov. 11 meeting to build and maintain a storm drain, screen wall and ornamental fence near city easements. Romer Elementary School is one of multiple voter-approved facilities under construction to meet student growth in the district. It will be located at 15201 Wagon Train Trail in Haslet.

KISD OKs new election month for trustee seats Keller ISD ocials approved moving future election dates from May to November during their Nov. 20 meeting. The change passed 4-2 from the vote, with trustee Jennifer Erickson abstaining from a vote. Trustees John Birt, Chris Coker, Charles Randklev and Heather Washington voted in support of the change while trustees Randy Campbell and Chelsea Kelly voted against the change. The gist Keller ISD board members will now seek election during the November election cycle, with the next election occurring in November 2026. This change extends current trustee terms by six months to align with the November cycle. Trustees who voted for the change said Novem- ber elections have a higher voter turnout, while those against it cited the overall increased cost and
