Humble ISD trustees received an overview of the district’s turnaround plan for Jack M. Fields Sr. Elementary School after the school received its second consecutive failing rating in the Texas Education Agency’s AF Accountability Ratings. The details HISD Director of Accountability Sherita Wilson- Rodgers presented trustees with the overview during the board’s Nov. 11 meeting. Fields Elementary received an “F” rating in the 2022-23 school year, a “D” rating for the 2023-24 school year and an “F” rating in the 2024-25 school year, TEA data shows. While the campus received a “D” rating for the 2023-24 school year, “D” ratings only pause the count for consecutive “F” ratings, according to the TEA’s website.

She said the district has also allocated additional resources, such as academic support teachers, to the campus to improve student outcomes.
