CELEBRATINGMARTIN LUTHER KING JR.

The Woodlands Methodist Church hosted its 33rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration Jan. 17. The event, organized by the Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation Committee, celebrated King through song, prayer and a commemorative tribute by the Rev. Frankie Mazzapica. The celebration was not held in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaker Jesse Tyson gave an address during the 33rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

Soloist Joseph Steemer performs to conclude the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

Mark Holter was among the performers at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

Musical performances at the Jan. 17 event included both instrumental and vocal groups.

The MLK Adult Mass Choir performed multiple songs during the event.
