Sound Revolution marks 49 years in vinyl music For nearly half a century, Sound Revolution has been a place for music lovers. Founded by Sunne Walton’s mother in 1976, the local record store is now carried on by Walton and her ance Scott Waldrum. What’s special about it? Walton spent her teenage years shuing through records and stocking inventory under her mothers guidance at Sound Revolution. At the time Walton said she had no idea she would someday be the backbone of the business. Meanwhile, Waldrum said he came in as co-owner in August to operate a second location in Spring which opened in 2018. “Owning physical media is coming back. People want to be able to look at a record, look at the artwork and educate themselves on what they’re listening to,” Waldrum said.
