Board approves additional COVID-19 leave for employees ROUND ROCK ISD The board of trustees on Aug. 18 adopted a resolution giving dis- trict employees additional paid leave in the event that they test positive for COVID-19. District employees will be granted five additional paid leave days if they are subject to isolation orders for testing positive for COVID-19, self-report their positive diagnosis through official means and submit appropriate documentation, according to district information. The extended leave benefit will not carry over into an employee’s next service contract, as it is tied to the 2022-23 budget year. District documentation states the new leave policy serves to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 among students and RRISD employees. In 2021, the board approved an additional 10 days of leave for district employees who tested positive for COVID-19.
