The 128th annual Comal County Fair and Rodeo, named the largest county fair in Central Texas, has events for the whole family. Hosted by the Comal County Fair Association, the event will feature a parade, barbecue cook-o, carnival and a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo. Live music performances will take place throughout the event along with the second annual Battle of the Bands. A new Comal County Fair queen will be crowned during this year’s contest on Sept. 18. SEPTEMBER 07 THROUGH OCT. 08 PICK A PIECE The New Braunfels Art League will be hosting the Piece by Piece Show, showcasing art made one piece at a time. The show focuses on mosaics, collage, assemblage 3D sculptures, assembled jewelry, stained glass, fused glass and quilts. The art will be displayed at the New Braunfels Art League from Sept. 7-Oct. 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The opening reception will take place Sept. 11 from 2-4:30 p.m. Free.
