15 Sophienburg Museum & Archives For 90 of the past 178 years since the founding of New Braunfels, the Sophienburg Museum & Archives has documented and cataloged the history of the town and those who lived there. On Oct. 8, the nonprofit held a celebration of those 90 years. 10 NBCA athletic complex New Braunfels Christian Academy broke ground on a new athletic complex Oct. 6. The facility is being funded through private donations and will cost roughly $11 million—$9 million of which has been raised within the past 18 months, said NBCA head of schools Nick Reeves.
