Peace, Love and Little Donuts gives back to Southlake community Vivisara Chinthongprasert—the owner of Peace, Love and Little Donuts—said she uses her business to give back to the Southlake community. Chinthongprasert bought the Southlake location, the only one in Texas, in 2021 after moving to the city from Thailand. The shop specializes in petite cake doughnuts with more than 50 avors. Chinthongprasert said popular doughnuts include the maple brown sugar with bacon; apple pie; and co ee cake with mocha icing and raspberry tru e. In July, she attended the Southlake Foundation’s Youth Entrepreneur Summit at Southlake Tutoring Academy, which encouraged high school students to present and promote their businesses. She also met nonpro t group Plate To Purpose, whose mis- sion is to help mitigate food insecurity by partnering with local restaurants to salvage leftover food and donate it to charities like Grace Grapevine. After becoming one of three business owners to partner with the nonpro t, Chinthongprasert began saving leftover doughnuts each day for the group. The group then donated the food to Grace, which parceled it out to community residents, she said. “We grow thanks to the support of the commu- nity, so I love to give back,” she said. “It’s a must.” While Chinthongprasert said she plans to expand her community service into the other nearby chambers of commerce—such as Grapevine, Keller and Roanoke—at the end of the year, right now she is focused on helping Southlake. “Even though it’s not my hometown, I feel like home here,” she said.
A popular menu choice is the cake doughnut with raspberry icing drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with chocolate chips.
