Roberts Road project will be in two phases Colleyville City Council approved an amendment on Oct. 17 to increase the existing professional services agreement with Freese and Nichols Inc. to separate the Roberts Road project into two phases. The rst phase will include work on the west- bound right-turn lane on Glade Road, water and sewer line replacements, and driveway and parking lot improvements. The details The second phase will include all work north of the driveway. The project’s scope changed after city ocials observed trac ows during the September open house for the city’s new recreation center. The total cost after the amendment is nearly $419,000. There is no timetable to start construction, according to the city.

Crews are working on installing trees along SH 26, a project that will add 242 trees along a 2.3-mile stretch in Grapevine.

Grapevine to enhance median along SH 26 The city of Grapevine with help from various partners is in the process of a landscape enchant- ment project along SH 26 from Texan Trail to FM 2499 through the end of this year. Kathy Nelson, the capital improvement projects and planning manager with Grapevine Parks and Recreation, the 2.3-mile span will enhance the

entertainment district, which encompasses Great Wolf Lodge, Gaylord Texan and Grapevine Mills. The details Work will include using native or adaptive trees, owering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and planter pots. All told, 242 trees will be planted. The cost of the project is $1.9 million with fund- ing from the capital improvement plan, $700,000 from the Texas Department of Transportation’s Green Ribbon Program, $250,000 from the Gover- nor Community Achievement Award and $150,000 from the city’s tree mitigation fund.

Bridge repair on North White Chapel Boulevard

Roadway, bridge, sidewalk and water line improvements costing $6.9 million are coming to North White Chapel Boulevard in Southlake. The backstory In September 2018, a ood event damaged the culvert crossing at Kirkwood Branch, according to city documents. Temporary repairs were made to the bridge in early 2019.

The details Permanent improvements include elevating the crossings at Kirkwood Branch and adding sidewalks along North White Chapel Boulevard. Improvements will also be made to the retaining wall, drainage and water line, documents state. Construction started this summer and continue through late summer or early fall 2025.
