2 traffic lights now working near schools Local motorists may notice two new traffic signals near three Cedar Park campuses. What you need to know The signals came online Aug. 12 at the intersections of Park Street and Gupton Way Drive, and Vista Ridge Boulevard and Golden Arrow Avenue, which are situated near Reagan Elementary School, Henry Middle School and Vista Ridge High School. The new signals aim to improve pedestrian safety and the flow of traffic near the schools. In addition to the traffic lights, a mid-block crosswalk—which includes flashing lights to alert drivers of pedestrians—near Reagan Elementary was completed Aug. 13. A city representative said the two lights cost the city $600,000 each, and the mid- block crossing was $190,000.
