Fourth of July celebrations held in The Woodlands Several celebrations were held in The Wood- lands Township for the Fourth of July, beginning with the Star-Spangled Salute at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The concert featured the Houston Symphony performing patriotic classics. According to Pavilion ocials, the performance also partnered with veteran-owned nonprot agency Artist in Arms to collect art supplies for students in need. “What an honor to take part in the South Montgomery County parade ... and celebrate our nation’s Independence Day with so many,” town- ship board of directors Chair Brad Bailey said. On July 4, the 49th Annual South County Fourth of July Parade was presented by Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital in the Market Street area and Town Center. The parade featured a variety of oats and marching bands from Grand Oaks High School and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, which won the award for “Most Beautiful Entry” in the parade. In the evening, a reworks display was pre- sented as part of the Red, Hot and Blue Festival which spanned several parks in The Woodlands, including:
