Library transactions include checkouts, visits, Wi-fi log-ins, guests asking a librarian for help, database uses, class attendance and more, according to the library report. Considering Frisco has a population of roughly 225,000 people, a library that sees more than 27 times that in transactions is “quite remarkable,” Holley said. One more thing During FY 2022-23, which was when the library opened, the facility saw 4.78 million transactions. “We’re really grateful to the council and the city manager’s office for their support of the library and to the citizens for their profound use,” Holley said. “We feel useful. It’s wonderful.”
