approved a construction contract for Segment 3, which will widen the section of FM 3349 between Hwy. 79 and CR 404, where it will eventually meet Segment 2. Construction on Segment 3 is expected to last until summer 2025. Design is still underway on Segment 2, which will connect segments 1 and 3. Funding is not yet secured, and there is no planned start date for construction. Hutto Development Services Director Ashley Bailey said Southeast Loop will help to divert trac from Hwy. 79 by creating an alternate route for those traveling through the city. The road is also expected to help with trac created by upcoming development at the city’s 1,400- acre Megasite just west of FM 3349. Timeline: summer 2021-summer 2025 Cost: $11.53 million (Segment 1), TBD (Segment 2), $81.9 million (Segment 3) Funding sources: Williamson County, Texas Department of Transportation
