“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” The local theater organization Penfold Theatre Company will host a production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” which centers around a group of young students—portrayed by adults—who attempt to prove themselves as spellers and talented individuals. • Sept. 12-28 (showtimes vary) • $36 (admission) • 2120 N. The band lineup features Laura Denisse, SEUDE, Lucky Joe, Cinco Doce, Cumbia Movement and more. Round Rock Arts Fest The city of Round Rock will host its annual Round Rock Arts Fest at Centennial Plaza, featuring visual and performing artists. With nearly 100 artist vendors, the event will include interactive art experiences, performances, food trucks and more. Lewis, who is also the lead singer of Staind, garnered two No. 1 Billboard Country Album Debuts with “Town Line” in 2011 and “Sinner” in 2016. • Oct. 3, 6 p.m. • $43+ Walk Against Hunger Backpack Friends, a nonprofit benefitting Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD and other districts, will host a hunger walk to raise money for food for at-risk children. The event will take place at Pfluger Park, which features a playground area, hike and bike trails, a basketball court and sand volleyball court. Family Campout The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will host its 14th annual Family Campout at Old Settlers Park. Attendees will set up a tent, eat dinner, play games and sit around a campfire eating s’mores. The event will also include a movie in the park before campers go to bed, and breakfast will be served in the morning.

SCARS A series of monologues and short stories through choreopoem will take place at Penfold Theatre Company in Round Rock.
