city takes on this year. Project plan- ning documents state construction should start this April and could last until November 2023. The expansion will double the size of the roadway with a center divider and add a bike lane in each direction, according to the project plan. A small bridge will also be con- structed, and new storm sewers, water mains and trac signals will be installed, documents show. Improve- ments will also be made to alleviate ooding issues, according to the plan. “It is a widening our community has been waiting on,” City Man- ager Mark Israelson said during the meeting. City planners indicated further expansion of the roadway could be considered at a future date. More information about Plano roadway projects can be seen on the city website.

Shiloh Road in Plano is being expanded to help alleviate trac concerns across the roadway, city planning documents stated. City Council approved the nearly $14 million project at its March 15 meeting. Construction will add two new lanes on Shiloh Road from Park Boulevard to 14th Street. Currently, that part of the street has two lanes, which has led to congested trac, ocials said. The project will be paid for through the city’s Community Investment Program fund that is meant to cover city infrastructure improvements. Ocials said some funding will also come from the Collin County bond that was approved in 2018 to improve the county’s roadways. City planners stated the Shiloh widening will be one of the largest roadway construction projects the
